- 1970’s and 1980’s
- Guzzardi Petroleum operating in West and south Gippsland.
- Lawsons South East Petroleum operating in East Gippsland and Southern NSW.
- 1990
- Mobil Oil Australia acquires Guzzardi Petroleum, forming Guzzardi Petroleum (Gippsland).
- 1991
- Guzzardi Petroleum acquires the operations of Schilg Nominees, the Esso distributor in Sale.
- Guzzardi Petroleum sells its Leongatha depot to Evans Petroleum.
- 1992
- Guzzardi Petroleum merges with the Gippsland Operations of Ray Jackson Pty Ltd.
- 1994
- Guzzardi Petroleum, Lawsons South East Petroleum and Ray Jackson Pty Ltd merge to create Gippsland Petroleum Group Operating from four bulk depots and 35 service stations, from Drouin through to Moruya.
- Business now owned half by Mobil and half by Ray Blaney and John Lawson.
- 1994
- NSW wholesale operations transferred to Cocks Petroleum, Eden.
- 1996
- John Lawson exits business, selling share to Ray Blaney.
- 1998
- NSW service stations sold, GPG now operating solely in Victoria
- 1999
- Ray Blaney sells share of business to new equity partner.
- 2001
- Mobil Oil buys out equity partner.
- 2001 - 2004
- Business rationalization resulting in the closure of 15 GPG service stations.
- Nov 2004
- Anthony van Breugel and Ray Blaney purchase business from Mobil.
- Business is now fully independent, today’s GPG Mobil is born.
- July 2006
- Ray Blaney exits business, selling his share to Anthony van Breugel
